During my sophomore year at Colorado State University I attended my first CIIPE (Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition). While perusing the galleries I came across a piece by the noted Japanese graphic designer, Koichi Sato. After staring at this poster for a few seconds I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. If you’re anywhere near the Ft. Collins area please head on over to check-out this incredible event that only happens every couple of years. It features poster work from some of the finest graphic designers in the world.
A very good friend of mine just started a new blog chronicling his "…experiences as an Adoptee and Korean-American." His goal, "…is to create an open, honest discussion while exploring a wide range of topics." He's off to an incredible start waxing poetic on everything from kickball to birth-family searches. Check it out at www.adopteevoice.blogspot.com.
I tend to follow directors more than I follow actors. The following pains me to say, but I never took the opportunity to watch Tarsem Singh's film The Fall while it was in the theaters. While watching the dvd release I realized I had made a huge mistake. This film is achingly beautiful and unlike so much dribble currently showing at the cineplex, this film should be experienced on the big screen.
